Guidelines, Code of Conduct & Privacy Policy
Massage Guidelines
1. Sessions are intended to begin and end at the scheduled times. Sessions that begin after the start time due to a client’s late arrival will still end at the scheduled time, so further appointments are not effected and will be charged at the full rate.
2. If a client has any Covid 19 symptoms, a cold, flu, sore throat, stomach virus, skin rash, or any other contagious condition, please reschedule your appointment and do not attend while unwell.
3. Clients must provide a health history and related health update, as deemed necessary.
4. Draping will be used during the session – only the area being worked on will be uncovered.
5. Clients under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian during the entire session. Informed written consent must be provided by a parent or legal guardian for any client under the age of 16.
6. Clients are expected to be clean, having showered the same day as the massage.
7. Clients are asked not to eat a heavy meal less than two hours prior to a massage for their own comfort.
8. Termination - Sexual harassment is not tolerated. Sexual harassment is defined as any behaviour that is intended to or has the effect of offending. Massage services will be terminated immediately if a client makes any sexual advances or requests, including inappropriate conversation and touch. If any behaviour makes me feel uncomfortable and I feel unable to continue the session, I will end the session immediately. Massage therapy is therapeutic in nature and any interactions and communications must remain professional. If the massage is terminated for the above-mentioned reasons, payment in full is still required.
9. A session will not be conducted if the client is intoxicated, using drugs, or threatening my safety or their own in any way.
10. Cancellation - If you need to cancel your massage please let me know within 24 hours of your appointment time. If less than 48 hours notice is given, you will be charged 50% of your massage fee. Clients who do not attend their appointment will be charged the full amount. Exceptional circumstances will be assessed on an individual basis.
